I am enjoying my trip with David.  He is a great traveling partner.   Quiet, polite and very well mannered.  Some important traits in both canine and human traveling buddies.

I have had good success traveling with my Podengo Pequenos before. This is my third trip on an international flight with a Podengo in tow. I have also traveled with an Estrela Mountain Dog internationally. The difference being the Estrela had to be “checked” and traveled below the plane. The Podengo Pequenos get to travel in the cabin with me.

Important trip tips when flying with your dog.

• Reserve his spot with the airline
• Do not over pack other carry-ons.  You are going to have to carry everything including your pup.
• Make sure your pup carrier is airline approved and meets the size requirements
• It is a long time between potty breaks for the pup.  pack pee pads just in case
• Check in early
• Don’t forget the pet passport.  You will need this on International flights.
