I started keeping track monthly of the Kennel’s successes.  I think it is quite impressive.

June 2017

Truman, receives a variety Group 3.  Star Mountain Stand Your Ground, (Smooth) (Owner Handled by Scott Cool)- Owned and loved by Scott Cool and Paul Hardt.  Special Note that this was the first show for both Scott and Truman.

 

July and August 2017 – We have a beautiful litter of puppies! 

 

September 2017

GCHB CH Tahtitaivaan David (Smooth) makes history by becoming the first Smooth Portuguese Podengo to receive a group 1!! This sets off the following course of events.

Dragao becomes a Champion – CH Dragao De Viamonte. Bred by Miguel Sabino. (Smooth)

May 2018

David (Smooth) makes history again by earning a Group 2 and a Group 4 as well as NOHS Group Placement.

“Taffy” who represents Podengos and Star Mountain in Florida got her Canine Good Citizen Advanced / Community Canine – Star Mountain Lost In Translation CGCA.  Way to go Taffy!

CH Star Mountain Little Ball Of Fur Of Prestige – “Lucia” earned her Champion title.

Star Mountain Bonedigger Bonedigger JC CAA DCAT ACT1 TKN ran out and got his DCAT title this month.    Super proud of this pup ❤️

June 2019

The brothers – Port and Azores!!  Becoming Champions very close in time.  I am proud to have bred them and can’t wait to see what they do!

Star Mountain Portugal’s Best Kept Secret earned his championship title and is almost to his grand at the time of this writing. Azores!!  Love this dog!

Star Mountain A Port in the Storm earned his championship title just a few days after his brother, Azores.   Congratulations, Port!   You are beautiful.

Maria Bonita do Vale Negro at Star Mountain earned her championship title.  Bred by Carla Molinari, this is a dog I’m very proud to own and show.  She has a huge future ahead of her.

August 2019

August 2019 was a CRAZY month. We took 2 weeks out of our schedule and drove to Reno, NV for our National Specialty. However, even with all that driving we made some streaks.

Tahtitaivaan David won the 2018 Top Ten held at the 2019 National Specialty. That means he won TWO Years in a row!! Woot! Way to go, David. Handled by Bekki Pina 2018 and Me in 2019

David’s Son, Mr. Wiggles, or officially GCHB CH Star Mountain Galeao Takes It All won the Reserve Winners 2018 Top Ten Title at the National Specialty. He lost to his father by ONE point!!!! This is such an honor as a breeder. Handled by Kaye Atkinson

Tia, GCHS CH Brookmont Cala A Boca E Me Beije At Star Mountain, won Select Bitch at the 2019 National Specialty and the two supported shows after the National Specialty. Turkey!! Three in a row. Good Job Tia. On her way from Silver to Gold GCH Handled by Philip Boyce

CABRITA, last but not least, my beautiful Cabrita. Handled by me, won Best Veteran at the National Specialty, Best Opposite Sex and Best Brood Bitch at the 2019 National Podengo Pequeno Specialty in Reno under Judge Dr. Ronald Spritzer. Dr. Spritzer was a wonderful Specialty Judge and thank you for the very kind comments about all my dogs. She also won the Best Veteran at the two supported shows that weekend and Best Opposite Sex on Saturday under Judge Jim Owens. Thank you to Mr. Owens for the great comments afterwards about Cabrita.

last but not least is my boy! The future Star in the Mountain – Azores!!! He’s now a Grand Champion and a huge cuddle monster !!!!

October 2019

Right before flying to his real home in Australia our beautiful pup earned his Championship title. CH Nappa De Balouzval owned by Lyndsay Kruse and Margaret Boisture. November 2019

Quadro Do Vale Negro at Star Mountain bred by carla molinari and owned by D’Arry Jone Frank and Margaret Boisture (me) earned his Championship title. Maisel our very own Star Mountain Eye On The Prize is now has a CH in front of her name as well. All from the bred by exhibitor classes. Watch for this little pip!

December 2019

December is a very short month of shows but it is the funniest month of all. We drove to Florida with the pups. It was worth the drive!!!

Our littlest princess Prestige Along Came a Spider owned and bred by D’Arry Jone Frank and I became a Champion and showed GREAT.

I am proud to announce that with Azores I won BEST BRED BY EXHIBITOR for the third -3- year in a row!! Azores is Star Mountain Portugal’s Best Kept Secret.
